Description:
I struggled to find motivation to make art for the past week or so, even
though I had a desire for it. Thankfully, yesterday I finally got out
of that block and made this! It started out with me just doodling up a
new sky texture, inspired by the ones Rencoret made recently, and I
really liked it. After some thinking, I decided to make another
painting, and I just doodled up a scene in Ultimate Doom Builder. I ended up playing with
more orthogonal geometry, which is fitting since the resource pack I
used was certainly inspired by the visuals of Cubes Deep.
Basically, I was wondering what to add to the scene once I had
finished all the environmental details in UDB, and eventually I settled
on the cross. I was inspired by a spiritual experience I had earlier
yesterday, which helped me break out of a difficult mental state. In the
end, it was also rather fitting since Cubes Deep also features
religious themes.
